COmmunity

Our relationships with one another publicly demonstrate that we are Jesus’ followers. We think Jesus is such good news that we want everyone to hear it, so we take every chance we can to fling wide the doors and get out (or get people in) to show and tell the good news of Jesus.

What you’ll find here are some ‘structured’ events, but there’s always more going on than we can fully capture. Want to get involved? Take the plunge!

Lifecentre Hattersley have provided some of HCC's community-engaging ministries in Mottram and further afield for many years, both in schools and via experience-based skills development sessions. The charity is headed up by Simon.

Monday Matinee is a weekly event in the church building intended to create connection and community among predominantly (but not exclusively) elderly people. Activities vary, but include retro films, chair-obics, quizzes, sing-a-longs and others. Join in for free each Monday from 2-4pm - everyone is welcome!

The Something Singers is our Community Choir. They meet second, fourth and fifth Mondays of the month and enjoy making a joyful noise together. Music is secondary to having fun, so if you think you sound more moose than Mariah, or you're shy until you're singing into your hairbrush, don't let it stop you coming to join with others.

Mottram Movies is a monthly family cinema event. We flip the room and make it like a cinema and show a family film, along with popcorn, ice cream break, tuck shop... and tea and coffee for parents! Mottram Movies takes place on the last Saturday of the month. Doors open 9:45; film starts at 10am. Follow our Facebook page for details of the film.

We meet on the first Wednesday of each month for Together As 1 where all members of the church - from youngest to oldest - gather to eat together from 6pm before enjoying some teaching, training or other input.
