SAFEGUARDING
At HCC we believe that Church should be a place where every child and every adult can feel safe and be safe. To create a safe environment for people requires various safeguards to be in place to minimise any risk of harm to individuals or groups attending or engaging in HCC activities.
Our Safeguarding Team oversee the administration, training and procedures that are in place to protect young people and vulnerable adults, and ensure that all volunteers and staff working with these groups are subject to the proper vetting, including DBS checks.
Our Safeguarding Team has overall responsibility for safeguarding but we believe that safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone who calls HCC their home, so we need your help! If you see or hear something that makes you feel uncomfortable, please report your concern even if it seems small. You can do that by speaking to a member of the Safeguarding team.

Safer places are not difficult to create if we all play our part. So, let’s make HCC safer for everyone!
