Loving Jesus, loving each other, loving everyone
vision
We believe that Jesus radically changes lives, and we love to see him transforming individuals, families and communities.

To partner in the transforming work of Jesus, here's a snapshot of what we're striving towards. We hope it can be said of HCC that:

-
We are a welcoming home to all who spend time with us, providing a safe refuge for the weak, the wounded and the wandering. We expect to see God’s restoration and healing of broken lives by the Holy Spirit. We remove all avoidable obstacles to people encountering Jesus and we take Jesus, not ourselves seriously;

-
We long together for the presence of God, and as we meet as family, our worship of God is an extravagant and whole-hearted response to God; we eagerly desire the Spiritual gifs for the good of the Church;

-
We affirm the Bible’s authority and are committed to faithful preaching and application of the Word. We communicate Biblical truth in contextualised ways without compromising;

-
Together we are pursuing obedience to Christ and co-operating with the Spirit as He makes us more like Jesus;

-
Our affection for one another proves we are Jesus’ disciples, leading us to rejoice and mourn together as we navigate all seasons of life with an unshakeable trust in God;

-
We celebrate the richness and diversity of God’s family, and we make space and provision for those different from ourselves;

-
With our efforts wholly dependant on God - expressed in persistent prayer - we labour to make and mature disciples across all ages and stages; everyone has a place here;
-
We take our responsibility to preach the Good News of Jesus seriously; we equip and release disciples into their homes, families and communities to demonstrate the love of Jesus and to preach the Good News of his Kingdom;

-
We are seeing people’s lives continually transformed by the Gospel;

-
We are proactive, creative and relentless in our pursuit of opportunities to demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus to our communities and will partner - locally and globally - with those who share our heart;
-
We steward the resources and gifts God has graciously given faithfully, pursuing cheerful generosity and raising up and releasing people into the acts of service God has planned for them;
-
In all we do we seek God’s glory as we enjoy him together, whilst intentionally building beyond ourselves for the sake of those who follow after us.
